The Virtual Driver Training Course

The StreetReady Training Course was developed with the top driver eduction and traffic experts. In designing StreetReady, we worked with the American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association (ADTSEA) to create a comprehensive novice driver program based on ADTSEA's National Driver Education Curriculum, which was funded and is recommended by the National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Virtual Driver Interactive has combined this nationally recognized curriculum with state-of-the-art simulation technology. This unique combination of curriculum and simulation allows students to not only learn critical concepts, but to practice those concepts snd gain valuable experience in a safe, controlled environment.

The StreetReady course is broken up into chapters which present opportunities for students to practice Searching Skills, Executing Effective Speed and Positioning, Managing Intersections, Making Turns, Managing Time and Space Intervals, and many more. Through the power of simulation, these lessons can also be practiced in several adverse conditions including night, fog, rain, and even snow, which demonstrates to the student how adverse conditions effect the performace of a vehicle and the increased need for preparedness.

Detailed Evaluation

VDI's proprietary Performance Assessment Scoring System (PASS) evaluates studeilts on a variety of driving skills throughout the lesson. including: vehicle startup and shutdown procedures, risk assesment, speed control, turns and lane changes, following distance, and many more. The PASS system evalutates students on more than 80 criteria over 30 times per second, providing complete and immediate feedback of a students performance.
